Example
What is the mechanism of rocuronium?

Rocuronium is a nondepolarizing aminosteroid neuromuscular blocking agent. It acts as a competitive antagonist at the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor on the motor endplate, preventing acetylcholine from initiating muscle depolarization (Nagelhout, 2023, p. 160).

Onset is dose-dependent: 60 seconds at 1.2 mg/kg for rapid sequence induction. Reversible at any depth of block with sugammadex (Nagelhout, 2023, p. 174).

Built by a nurse anesthesia resident.

Midway through my first year as a nurse anesthesia resident, I started using AI to study. It was fast and confident, and I had no way to verify the source, if one was even given.

Anesthesia is too high-stakes for confident guesswork. So I built Neo Anesthesia. It’s anesthesia-focused, and it answers from the textbooks we learned from. Every answer traces back to a source you can open and check. We were trained to practice evidence-based anesthesia, to question what we read and confirm it for ourselves.
