2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Patient health information (PHI)
Social security numbers or government IDs
Card or bank account numbers (payments are processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details)
Location data beyond what your browser provides
Contacts or address book data

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide the Service — process your queries and return AI-generated responses with citations
Improve quality — analyze query patterns and feedback to improve response accuracy
Usage analytics — understand how the tool is used to guide feature development
Security — detect and prevent abuse, prompt injection, and unauthorized access

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We use trusted third-party providers for authentication, data storage, and AI processing.

5. Third-Party Services

Your queries are processed by AI language models to generate responses. We also use anonymous analytics to understand usage patterns. Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc.; your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

Chat history is retained until you delete it (via the Clear All History feature)
Pinned messages are retained until individually unpinned and deleted
Session and analytics data is retained indefinitely for service improvement
Account data is deleted when you delete your account
To improve performance for repeat questions, anonymous queries that pass our PHI/PII screen may be cached server-side and the cached answer served to other users asking semantically similar questions. Queries that match our PHI patterns (SSN, phone, email, MRN/EHR identifiers, dates of birth) are blocked at submission and never cached. You can evict a cached answer at any time by clicking the “Not helpful” thumbs-down on it.

7. Your Rights

You can:

View your chat history within the app
Delete individual conversations or all history
Delete your account via the Settings menu
Request a data export by emailing info@neoanesthesia.io

8. Children's Privacy

Neo Anesthesia is designed for healthcare professionals and students. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

9. HIPAA Notice

Do not enter patient information into Neo Anesthesia. This Service is not HIPAA-compliant and should never be used to process, store, or transmit protected health information (PHI). Use only de-identified, hypothetical, or educational scenarios.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
